Inspirational Talk 2025 with Mary Kalantzis & Bill Cope<\/strong><\/p>\n

As part of its international outreach strategy and with the aim of strengthening its connection with the global research community, the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program \u201cAnalysis and Teaching of First and Second\/Foreign Language\u201d<\/em>\u2014offered jointly by the Department of Mediterranean Studies: Archaeology, Linguistics, International Relations<\/strong> and the Department of Primary Education<\/strong> of the University of the Aegean<\/strong>\u2014launches a new annual event titled \u201cInspirational Talk\u201d<\/strong> featuring renowned scholars from international universities and research institutions.<\/p>\n

This initiative aims to create a vibrant forum for the exchange of ideas and scholarly dialogue, open both to the academic community and the general public.<\/p>\n

The inaugural Inspirational Talk<\/strong> will be delivered by Mary Kalantzis<\/strong> and Bill Cope<\/strong>, two of the most influential figures in global educational research. With distinguished academic careers at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign<\/strong> and a prolific body of scholarly work, the Kalantzis\u2013Cope duo is internationally known for pioneering approaches in learning, multiliteracies, and the integration of technology in education.<\/p>\n

Their timely talk is titled:
\n\u201cLiteracy in the Time of Artificial Intelligence.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Inspirational Talk 2025<\/strong> will take place online<\/strong> on Wednesday, May 28<\/strong>, from 19:00 to 20:30 (Greek time)<\/strong>, via the following Zoom link:
