The IPGP provides Pedagogical and Teaching Certification to the holders of its Diploma since:

a) it operates with collaborating Departments, namely the Department of Primary Education and the Division of Linguistics of the Department of Mediterranean Studies: Archaeology, Linguistics, International Relations,

b) it moves along the axis of applied linguistics and didactics and its area of study belongs to the Sciences of Education,

c) it is included in the overall planning of the two cooperating Departments and is a post-graduate, metacognitive-type specialization of their first cycle of studies and

d) its study programme ensures the necessary theoretical pedagogical and teaching training.

Therefore, IPGP holders can be employed in the wider field of language teaching in formal and non-formal education in the context of lifelong learning.

As can be seen from the research carried out in 2021 on the postgraduate degree holders of all the Postgraduate Programmes of the Department by the Liaison Office of the University of the Aegean, the employment of PGMS holders is related to professions that are associated with the area of studies of IPGP, while a significant percentage of postgraduate degree holders continued their studies at the doctoral level.
